   History-
       Timelines - work in class
       complete and use as study tool
       due this Wednesday

   American Revolution test - Wednesday  (11-2)

   Turn in poems -
       rough draft and revised copyy due today

   Video - original Frankenstein
       compare versions

   Grade printouts were handed out last Friday
       Signed grades/bonus points avaiable
       only through Tuesday

Caretakers field trip - corn maze
Portia says "Farewell"

Friday:

    **AMERICAN REVOLUTION TEST-
          Wednesday (11-2)

    Homework-  Am. Rev. timeline
       Try to complete most of the entries
       this weekend.   Classtime will be
       given Monday.

    Here is an example of an entry:
                Jan.  1776
       Common Sense
          Thomas Paine pamphlet that
          encouraged U.S. independence


    Poems - Poe style
          Revise poems this weekend
          Both rough draft and final copy due Monday

    Literature - "The Lottery"  analysis ws due today

Language Arts/Literature and Social Studies grades were
    printed and distributed today in class.  Kids can see
    me next week to discuss missing work.

       Continue to compose a "Poe style" poem
       12 lines minimum
       Include two differnet examples in your lines
          of alliteration, onomatopoeia, or internal rhyme
       Poem - rough draft - due this Friday

   History of You -  handout (HO) check list for
       requirements of the poster
       We will go to the lab Thursday and Friday
          for final revisions.
       Final poster due Monday  10-24-05

    If time permits-
       History  read 190-194
       Review links

       Read " The Raven"  By Edgar Allen Poe
             Discuss symbolism

       Compose a 12 line poem in the Poe style
             The first line will be  "Once upon a midnight dreary . . . ...weary"
             Rough draft is due this Friday

       Homework:   "The Raven"  worksheet
             due Wednesday

          HO - history links

Imac lab - the class will go to the lab this Thursday
